Learning Target: I can independently research evidence to support my claim.
Class Activities:
This was a really loosely organized day, because students were all in different places. Most students continued to research, looking for GOOD evidence (quotes, statistics, specific info from reliable sources, etc.) I walked around and talked to kids about their claims, helped them find websites, etc.
Keep in mind that a rough draft of this essay is due the Monday we get back from break. Think of what you (the student) need to most help on-- research? The outline? Writing the rough draft? That should be what you focus on doing in-class Monday and Tuesday, so plan your time accordingly!
