Class Activities:
1. Students came in and took out a piece of loose leaf paper. They free wrote for about 5 minutes in response to one of the following prompts:
2. We reviewed the Buddhism homework sheet from the previous lesson, looking at how Hinduism and Buddhism are similar and different. One important difference that we hadn't been over before is that while Hinduism believed that people of higher class are closer to achieving enlightenment, Buddhism believed that anyone, regardless of class, could achieve enlightenment.
3. In groups of three, students shared their do now responses, then we shared as a class. It was cool.
4. During the last 2-3 minutes of class, students answered two questions on the same sheet of paper as the do now:
