Unit 1, Lesson 3: Scale, Day 3
Learning Target: I can represent multiple scales on a timeline
Class Activities:
1. Students picked up two handouts from the back of the room:
2. Students took out their History of the Universe planning sheet from the previous lesson (the one with all the math on it), and compared their answers with their group mates while I went around and checked HW/corrected some mistakes.
3. Each group got 8 notecards, each notecard with a threshold on it. We went outside to the balcony, where there was a 100 foot timeline drawn. The groups used their planning sheets to place the notecards on the correct spot on the timeline.
4. The class came back inside and began work on the Scale HW sheet.
Papers handed in today:
Checked the History of the Universe planning sheet.
Homework:
Finish Scale HW sheet.

- History of the Universe Football Field Timeline sheet (same thing that you picked up on the previous day)
- Scale HW sheet
