Learning Target: I can discuss how religion and science conflict, contrast, and converge in their explanations of the universe.
Class Activities:
1. We reviewed the 3 reads method of reading an article.
2. Students picked up the article "Cosmology and Faith" from the back (as usual, there are 3 different reading levels). They completed the three reads on a piece of looseleaf. For the third read, students answered one of the following questions:
3. At the end of class, we had about 5-7 minutes to discuss students' opinions on the above questions. I collected the 3 reads on the way out the door.
Papers handed in today:

- Science has offered a lot of evidence that contradicts the origin stories we studied and current major religions. Yet 84% of the world's population identifies with a religion. Why? (*statistic from pew forum.org, 2012)
