Learning Target: I can independently research questions about the Big Bang
Class Activities:
1. Students picked up one handout, "Questioning the Big Bang"
2. We didn't have a do now. Instead, we discussed what makes a source more reliable than other sources. See the powerpoint below for examples of the sources we compared.
3. On the same powerpoint, I projected the questions about the Big Bang that students came up with in the previous lesson. Students chose a question to investigate, and spent the majority of the period was spent on laptops, searching for a reliable source to help them answer the question. Students chose to either work independently or in pairs. As they worked, they completed the "Questioning the Big Bang" handout.
Papers handed in today:
Claim Testing the Big Bang- Do Now sheet (both halves)
Homework:
Finish the "Questioning the Big Bang" handout
